Sales and Project Coordinator

The Sales and Project Coordinator performs a combination of sales and project support functions across the spectrum of pre-sale to post-project activities with an enthusiasm for safety products.
This role coordinates and supports sales functions both directly in a customer development capacity, through the maintenance of customer records and systems, and works closely with other team members through the customer engagement cycle.
The individual is front line for customer inquiries, engaged throughout customer projects, and collaborates with the project team to provide a high level of customer service.
The individual in this role must be passionate for providing superior consultative service; being reliable, responsible, detail oriented, and timely with all external and internal customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesThis position contributes to the success of the company's performance by:
Receive customer inquiries and perform pre-sale discovery activities.
Maintain customer and product price master data in CRM and quoting systems.
Update company information in customer and third-party vendor management systems.
Manage certain house accounts for ongoing sales of products and services.
Participate in project estimating including maintenance of systems and quoting templates, ensure integration with accounting processes and system and participate with invoicing to meet all customer and accounting requirements.
Assist in project management functions including coordinating material purchasing with vendors and organizing work schedules while providing high level of customer service throughout project engagement.
Review customer purchase contracts for acceptance and adherence, and maintain project files with complete documentation and accounting compliance requirements.
Generate sales prospects managing some in entirety and collaborate with other team members on others.
Contribute to the development of marketing materials and marketing execution.
Develop expertise in products, system layouts, and corresponding engineering of applications.
Participate in industry conferences and trade shows.
Provide general backup to other personnel and functions.

years sales and customer service experience preferred or; in lieu of education, 4
years of technical or architectural product sales experience.
Prior solution-based sales and customer support experience evidenced by meeting sales objectives and providing high levels of service.
Strong organization skills proving ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage functions effectively, and be timely in responses.
Sound and effective communication skills, particularly via phone, in writing and presentations; negotiation and problem resolution skills Proficiency with MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) CRM, order and invoicing systems Understanding and/or experience in B2B marketing, along with creation and execution of programs.
Experience or willingness to learn industry architectural and safety products and applicable standards in the sale of engineered fall protection systems.
Ability to quickly grasp industry codes, and apply in customer dealings and product applications.
